Chemical rupture disc is a disposable pressure relief device that cannot be closed repeatedly and cannot be used after blasting. At the set blasting temperature, the chemical rupture disc can break or fall off when the pressure difference between the two sides reaches a predetermined value, and the fluid is released.
Chemical rupture disc is mainly suitable for the following places:
1. The process medium in the pressure vessel or pipeline is slurry, sticky, corrosive, easy to crystallize and polymerize, and other safety valves should not be installed. Because in this process medium, the safety valve is very prone to bonding or clogging.
2. The chemical reaction of the materials in the pressure vessel may cause the pressure in the container to rise sharply in an instant. Because the safety valve has a hysteresis effect, it cannot be opened in time to relieve pressure quickly.
3. The working medium in the pressure vessel or pipeline is a highly toxic gas or expensive gas, and no leakage is allowed during the work process. In this case, the chemical rupture disc should be used in series with the explosion-proof valve to make full use of the respective characteristics of the chemical rupture disc and the safety valve, so that neither before nor after blasting will leak and cause environmental pollution and waste.
4. In pressure vessels and pressure pipelines, the working pressure is very low or high, and the working temperature is low. Because the cost of the safety valve in this case is too high, the working characteristics are poor.
5. Chemical rupture disc is suitable for occasions where a larger discharge area is required in pressure vessels and pressure pipelines.
6. Other places that are not suitable for safety valves but are suitable for chemical rupture disc.
Maintenance of petrochemical industry bursting discs:
1. Daily visual inspection, sealing performance inspection and environmental inspection of petrochemical industry bursting discs. Check the rupture disc and surrounding components regularly to see if there is any obvious damage, whether the installation is loose, and whether there is any trace of media leakage on the surface of the rupture disc. For equipment containing flammable, explosive, toxic or corrosive media, the sealing state of the rupture disc needs to be checked through pressure monitoring instruments or leak detection tools to maintain no trace leakage. It is also necessary to pay attention to the installation environment of the rupture disc to avoid the performance being affected by vibration, high temperature, dust accumulation or corrosive gas erosion.
2. Carry out regular replacement and cycle management of petrochemical industry bursting discs. Even if the rupture disc does not trigger blasting, it must be forcibly replaced according to the service life specified by the manufacturer to prevent failure due to material aging and fatigue. If the operating parameters of the equipment change, the parameters of the rupture disc need to be recalculated, and the adapted model should be replaced in time to match the discharge capacity with the equipment requirements. When replacing the rupture disc, it is also necessary to check the gripper, flange sealing surface and other components simultaneously, clean up impurities, repair scratches, and make the installation surface flat. Do not cause leakage or burst pressure deviation due to assembly problems.
